My fingers are tied in knots; I don’t know what to say

This rarely happens to me, I feel lost for words today

Perhaps I’m overthinking, or I need to take a break

Everything I am creating afresh seems like a bad mistake

I have lots of random ideas, but it’s fitting them in the puzzle

Alas, they tangle on my page; lost in one large muddle.

  1. Let’s TANGLE all those words in a sentence….I WISH the MOLD of my EVERYDAY AROMA would SEEM more INVITING so I could MOVE them to a CAVE & CLEANSE my HOME. The End.

  2. This is so often how I feel when I am working through writer’s block! I loved how simple your poetry is, but how it completely captures an experience known to all writers. Well done!

  3. I love your different styles, Sophie. Like Jacqi commented your opening image “my fingers are tied in knots” is powerful as if its your fingers that are holding you back! Have you ever tried just jotting down the random ideas, similar to what Gwenny tried to do with the words in the photo? You never know where it will take you if you just allow your fingers to go off on their own! HUGS ❤
